The best place to view the free live circus acts is from the famous Horsearound bar. It's called the horsearound because it's designed like a carousel with carved horses around the perimeter AND it spins slowly around. the slots directly below also turn when the top is turning.

Hunter S. Thompson wrote about Circus Circus, "What the whole hep world would be doing on Saturday night if the Nazis had won the war." And you can see the bar in full action in the movie" Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas."

Even if you don't go when the circus is in town, the bar is charming enough and worth a visit.
