Mondo Las Vegas:
More about The Peppermill:The Peppermill opened on December 26, 1972 and hasn't changed much since. Of course we do wish they'd put back the original orange shag carpet and chocolate brown tiles. They softened the original color scheme in 1986 to the mauve and blue tones, but we're glad most of the other special touches are still there. The sunken gas fireplace surrounded by an inviting ring pool of water and plush seating takes you back to a time on the strip when Donna Summer was singing "toot toot uh beep beep."You've seen the Peppermill in numerous movies, the most well known probably being "Casino," with Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone and Joe Pesce. De Niro apparently liked the place so much, he spent quite a bit of time here after the film was wrapped. Romantic Flaming Pool, Exotic Drinks, Plasma Screens... PLUS a 24 hour restaurant with ever blooming cherry blossom trees and pretty decent hash browns with your own personal peppermill on the table... just go...
