I am a fan of small cafes in department stores. It reminds me of the old Bullock's tea rooms where you could have a civilized lunch in the middle of your Doris Day style shopping spree and be entertained with a live fashion show while you sup. The Nordstroms on Market Street in San Francisco still has an excellent lunch room and so does Vegas with the NM Café. And the live fashion shows aren't that far away. Open daily 11AM to 6PM.Nordstrom's and Bloomingdales also feature old fashioned department store cafes.
