Just east of the Strip is the Las Vegas Convention Center. The original 1959 complex designed by famed architect Martin Stern included a shocking space age silver-domed 6,300-seat arena with a 90,000 square foot exhibit hall. The dome was demolished in 1990 to make room for expansion into one of the largest conference facilities in the world.
