Before it was demolished in 2004, You would see a cool backlit plastic kidney pool shaped sign, but it's the porthole pool that turned heads. If you just want to swim in the pool without staying there - the management used to charge you just for a swim.When Steve Wynn built the Mirage further up the Strip - he bought out the rights to the original name. This and other properties in the area were bought up by a consortium of developers. An homage to the Glass Pool can be found at the Palms Casino Resort at 4321 Flamingo Road (KGA with the Jerde Partnership, 2001) with it's half sized glass portal pool.
