What's a circus without a little shiftiness around the edges? And that you'll get with the live acts at Circus circus and the Midway surrounding. The acts are actually phenomenol. Who needs Cirque de Soleil anyways when you can see this show for free? Here you get jugglers, acrobats and of course the daring young men on the flying trapeze - the aerialists!Originally the live acts were visible from the casino floor below, but the management found that it distracted the gamblers from gambling and that they stopped pushing coins into the machines - heaven forbid! So they added a floor in between so you have to climb upstairs to get a view, but they also added a few seats so you can sit while you enjoy the acts. These seats fill up pretty quickly during peak hours, so get there well in advance. You can the original pre-2nd floor setup in action in the James Bond movie "Diamonds are Forever."
The best place to view the circus is from the Horse-a-round bar of course. The surrounding midway has more the 200 ways to fritter away your money to maybe win a stuffed animal, but i think your odds to come out ahead might be better here then in the slots below :)
Live circus acts perform every half hour from 11AM to midnight.
