More about Caesars Palace:
The original August 1966 casino design and later Centurion Tower by Melvin Grossman have been radically altered to the point where the beautiful classic blue façade is gone forever.
Caesars Palace was the first and most comprehensive "theme" hotel on the Strip. The classical Greco Roman theme was maintained throughout exterior and interior. The original 2 story suites were done up in white and gold with white baby grand pianos. Not much can be said of the latest remuddle to the beautiful curving blue façade, but you can see what it used to look like in the movie Rainman.
Although much of the interior has been altered, do not miss the original gambling pit and the dance club, Cleopatra's Barge.
The thematic design does continue to this day. Inside, the Forum shops are worth a visit to see the 'animatronic' style statues move and speak. This was also the first of theme retail environments where the sky changes from day to night and back again in eternal twilight over and over each day.
As far as the rooms and spa go, I had high expectations for Caesars and sadly they fell short.
