Mondo Las Vegas:
More about Benihana Village at the Las Vegas Hilton:The Benihana Village at the Hilton is worth a visit as an early example of a theme restaurant. Benihana is known for serving Japanese, exhibition-styled cooking, but in this case it is in an incredible Pagoda garden atmosphere. For their 1969 Las Vegas location Benihana built a complete environment appropriate for the cuisine. This was one of the earliest theme restaurants in Las Vegas and still hold up to this day. There is an authentic Torri Arch, trickling stream and ponds, thunder, lightening and rain storms in the lush Japanese gardens, flowing ponds, exotic statuary and private tatami rooms in a 2 story structure. Food faire is standard Benihana - sushi, sashimi, California roll, tekka-maki, hibachi chicken, sukiyaki steak and Japanese Onion soup.
