Built by Deruyter Butler and Atlandia Design, with Jerde Partnership in 1998 on the site of the Dunes Hotel. Don't miss the seasonal floral displays in the atrium. They usually include animals or children of unusual size, such as giant penguins in Winter, giant glass butterflies in Spring and giant Huckelberry Finns fishing in Summer.My favorite place at the Bellagio is hanging out at the Baccarat Bar when the 2 piece jazz combo is playing (usually until 1AM). And okay, okay. hearing "Singing the Rain" with the dancing waters at the Bellagio has brought a mist to my eyes.
They say that even the back stage areas for just the employees are finished as nicely as the public guest areas. Steve Wynn was quoted as saying he would not make up for any mistakes he made at Bellagio at the new Wynn resort. An ex maitre d' from Bellagio told me he made no mistakes there.
